Vol. 2 No. 1 (2026): Encounters, Paths and Challenges in Troubled Times. Part 4

Editor's Introduction

The year 2026 marks two significant milestones in the life of our professional community. We are excited as the third annual conference approaches. It will be held in Canterbury in October 2026. We are looking forward to welcoming our colleagues and audience members interested in bibliotherapy, poetry therapy, therapeutic writing, and art therapies to this annual gathering.
This issue celebrates the first anniversary of our journal, representing the shared goals, meaningful work, and values of the European biblio/poetry therapy community.
Although we still produce our journal on a voluntary basis and receive no financial support, we believe it is important to maintain open access in order to make it available to a wider audience.
We aim to create balanced issues in terms of professional level, topics, and the number of selected, peer-reviewed articles. According to our plans, three issues will be published this year. First, we will publish the final selected articles from the Budapest conference, offering new theoretical perspectives and methods. These will be followed by practical papers introducing innovative narrative practices and well-being programmes. The next two issues will feature contributions from the 2025 annual conference in Finland.

Wishing you an inspirational and flourishing reading experience,

Judit Béres
